Solid article, Jacqueline. I am currently reading 7 Habits. There is much useful information in it, though it is certainly dated. I am on Habit 5 in the book and I don't think he has used a female pronoun in any of his references other than when talking about his wife. It illustrates the old concept that women weren't typically cut out for leadership roles.

But I can't throw the babe out with the bathwater. His use of Aesop's Fable, the Goose and the Golden Egg, has been game-changing for me. I see that analogy in so many areas of my life now.

I am also an avid Stoic, and many of his habits reflect Stoic principles while not being stated as such. His concept of right moral character being a root in effectiveness is accurate according to ancient moral philosophy.

Great work and critique.
